in the show spongebob squarepants, sponegbob fails his driver's test 58 times. when i came home with another fail from the DMV, my mom decided to nickname me "katbob squarepants." in which case, i proceeded to tell her all the top 10 reasons why i will never drive.

1. cars are ridiculously expensive
2. gas is ridiculously expensive
3. continuously applying for new permits and driver's licenses is ridiculously expensive
4. i will become so rich from all the car related money saved that i can buy a chauffeur... and a pilot.
5. taxes was just raised to 9% in CA
6. cars promote fatness
7. i dislike anything related to the gov't
8. the world needs one less asian woman driving
9. i will decrease my daily impact by refusing to drive
10. and finally and most importantly, i fail all tests concerning the DMV, driving, and cars

Berkeley Flea Market
the San Francisco’s Farmer’s Market
Moe’s Used Book store

p.s. you can eat all the frosting off of my cupcakes.

hollywood.

if i were a movie character, i would be composed of:

ocean eleven's casey affleck's idiotic boyish charm
the bloom brother's bang bang
gran torino's quick wit
t.v. carpino's singing voice

in which case, i'd become a walking sing-a-long of impulsive rebellions consisting of explosions and endearing racist slurs. the audience would be so enraptured with my quirky personality and love for all things that go "boom boom," i would become an instant hit. perfect.

THE WIKIPEDIA BOOK!

http://www.fubiz.net/2009/06/05/wikipedia-book/

hey i have a question for you

what does the L,2, and D mean on the gears of an automatic?
what does B.C.E stand for?
how is MSG made?
and what is gluten and why do all the healthy food companies seem to be banning it?

summer in chicago

i remember melting in the hot humid air underneath the shade of a single tree. i would always swat the mosquitoes away while my brother and cousin would chew on ice wrapped in moist paper towels. on days when our grandma would shoo us out of the freezer, my brother and i would walk to the pond nearby and pretend to fish with our dog sleeping in the grass nearby. When the long summer nights would come around, i would run outside in my nightdress and try to catch fireflies in glass jars.

then there was the lightening storms. I would always hug my knees into my chest, leaning against the tall glass window, watching the lightening strike into a magnificent and terrifying wonder. if i close my eyes, i can still hear the thunderous echo of the storms.

there are so many things that i miss.
its almost unbearable.
